Covalent IT 2009-2010 Online Privacy Policy
Our policies on collection and use of your personal information:
(1) Covalent IT will only collect personal user information when explicitly allowed to do so by the vistor or guest on our website. Our website code will never attempt to collect or store any of your personal information on our servers, except standard connection information that is typically gathered for analytical purposes by our web server(s.)
(2) Covalent IT understands the IT challenges our visitors face on a daily basis and therefore we pledge never to sell, lease, trade, or otherwise disclose any of your personal information including vital contact information, IP information, browser / session data, or any other uniquely identifying information regarding visitor's to our online websites.
(3) Covalent IT does not make regular use or practice of marketing e-mail systems or methodologies and therefore you will never receive marketing related materials from Covalent IT unless they are specifically requested.
Our Use of Web Visitor Data For Business Intelligence and Analyisis
(1) Covalent IT will collect during your visit certain information including, but not limited to: your web browser type and version, your operating system, your public Internet protocol (IP) address, the time of your visit, the duration of your visit, and which specific web pages you visited while on our site(s.)
(2) Any data collected during your visit is stored in a secure location with access only to Covalent IT staff members performing analysis on the Covalent IT website.
(3) Any uniquely identifying information is masked before reproduction in reports for internal Covalent IT use.
(4) All logs are rotated on 90-day cycles and are purged with zero retention.
Our use of Web Visitor Data For Law Enforcement Purposes
(1) Covalent IT works diligently to ensure the safety of our client's data on publically accesible web servers. Therefore, any breach, or attempted breach of our web servers either public or private will be treated as a direct attack on our intellectual property and all such activity can expect to be reported to the appropriate responding legal authority. All collected access information regarding such actual or attempted attacks will also be provided to authorities.
(2) Users of Covalent IT web resources understand that any permitted data storage facilities at Covalent IT are regularly inspected for malicious or illegal material. Any such detected malicious or illegal material will be first analyzed internally by Covalent IT, and if appropriate the appropriate responding legal authority will be contacted if illegal materials are discovered. Covalent IT assumes no risk for the type of data stored on its servers by users of the Covalent IT web site(s) and users accept all risks of using Covalent IT's internal data storage systems.
(3) Covalent IT cooperates with all law enforcement agencies and will, upon formal verifiable request from an authorized law enforcement agency, remit, provide, print, deliver, copy, or otherwise any pertinent logging data, stored user files, or other data that may aide in the investigation of illegal activities involving the Covalent IT web site(s.)
