Covalent EverStore Hosted Backups Announces New Higher Storage Capacity!

WHEAT RIDGE, CO, APRIL 20, 2010 – Covalent EverStore Online Hosted Backup Solution from Covalent IT announced today that new service levels will allow customers with higher storage requirements to gain access to othe powerful EverStore hosted system. Previously the maximum size of a single Covalent EverStore backup set was fixed at 500gb (gigabytes) now with the enhanced service levels, customers may allocate up to 20TB (terabytes) to a single backup set. This significant jump in capacity is a result of Covalent IT’s recent efforts to re-work the EverStore service offering, allowing it to remain competitive while breaking new barriers in online backup services.

While the average size of an online backup set is said to be somewhere between 30 and 75 gigabytes, customers with multiple locations, or with the need to backup very large file shares or databases now have the ability to deploy the Covalent EverStore service on-the-fly and allocate as much space as required to complete the backup jobs successfully. This level of automation ensures that the Covalent EverStore service remains flexible and manageable whether managed by a complimentary Covalent IT Total Managed Services agreement, or by the customer’s internal IT staff.

The announcement of the enhanced capacity also included an announcement of special pricing tiers for customers allocating backup space in excess of 500GB (gigabytes.) Pricing for these customers will be based on a sliding fee schedule based on the total amount of space consumed by the customer.
